Welcome to the Doctorate School of Manhattan Intercontinental University!

The high-quality MIU doctorate programs are internationally recognized by the business and diplomatic community. Upon completing a doctorate degree we will not only provide our students with a highly recognized MIU diploma, but also an MIU Reference Letter which will serve as a ticket to their future career.

The MIU doctorate program is a research program which provides training in a subject area through independent investigations, studies and experimens, culminating in the preparation of a dissertation. As a measure to better prepare our doctorate students for the dissertation, a preparatory class of four weeks will commense at the beginning of the first semester.

After completing the preparatory class, students are required to submit a Formal Dissertation Proposal to their mentor for review. The role of the mentor is to monitor the progress of the student toward the doctorate degree, review the dissertation proposal and draft chapters and help the student in overcoming any difficulties during the research process.

MIU doctorate programs can be completed in a period of 10-24 months, depending on the length of the dissertation. The prescribed minimum length of text, excluding appendices, charts and bibliography is 150 pages. The prescribed maximum length is 280 pages. No dissertation may exceed 280 pages unless permission from the mentor is obtained in advance. A dissertation defense or viva takes place after the final draft is submitted. Questions will be prepared by the Dissertation Committee and the student will have seven days to answer them.
